Welcome to Sweet Creations! I’m Liat Avivi, a cake artist and pastry chef who has always lived in the world where art and flavor meet.
My love for baking started in my mother’s kitchen back in Israel. She filled our home with warmth, sweetness, and the kind of memories that last forever. That love — and her spirit — still guide me today. At the same time, I was always drawn to art: painting, sculpting, creating with my hands. Cakes became the perfect way to bring both passions together.
I trained as a pastry chef at the Estella Academy in Israel, and in 2008 I opened my first cake shop, Sweet Creations ('Yetzirat Metukot' in Hebrew). Over the years, I taught sugar flowers and cake decorating, collaborated with top international brands like Gilro LTD, Satin Ice, and Wilton, and my cakes were featured on TV, in newspapers, and at celebrity celebrations.
In 2014, I moved with my beloved husband and our three children to Livermore, California. I continue my passion through my licensed Cottage Food business, creating custom wedding cake, birthday cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and dessert tables for weddings, birthdays, and life’s sweetest milestones.
Every creation is homemade from scratch, with the finest ingredients, an artist’s eye, and a heart full of love. My goal is always the same: to give you not just a cake, but an experience that makes your celebration unforgettable.
